It’s Official…… February 4, 2009

It is official on Monday we found out that baby #3 is a GIRL!!!  I am very happy about the news.  I feel the transition of another child might just be a little easier since we are very well equipped with girl stuff around here.  I’m not saying I wouldn’t like a boy, but for me at this time I think it worked out perfectly!!  I would of been very sad if I never would of had a girl again because what a waste of all the cute stuff Reagan and Roxie have.  One thing I am very excited about it is only buying one of something, that will be very strange for me.  With the girls it makes me crazy, if anything is ever on sale, and it’s usually way cute, their is NEVER 2 of the same size.  This happens almost every time when it comes to shoes, I have been all over the place to many shoe stores trying to get 2 of the same pair,  in the same size.  Anyhow, this is why i’m excited about the notion of only buying for one.  It’s not like i’m going to have to buy a lot but you know, it’s fun to have a few new things.  Also, this just means I have a lot more hair to do, so it’s probably a good thing i’m in the profession that I am, it will save me a lot of money.  I have been reminded these last few days too that we will have to pay for 3 girls’ weddings too.  Maybe if we are lucky, Roxie and Reagan will have a double wedding, I will encourage that, jk.  Unfortunately, I was born to love shopping, that was my Mom’s fault!!  If they are anything like me, we are in big trouble, poor Nate.  I do look forward to all the girly stuff we can do together.

I’ve had a lot of questions about how Roxie and Reagan feel about all of this.  They really don’t understand what is going on, they know I have a baby in my tummy but that is the extent of it.  They are in the stage right now, especially Reagan, where they love to dress up, wear flashy jewels, and play with their babies.  Reagan carries her doll around, puts it to bed, pretends to change her diaper, and so on.  It is very cute, my only worry is only one is coming (thank heavens) and their are two of them.  This new live baby doll will have to be shared, but i’m sure she will be very well taken care of, they are big helpers!!  Twins are very unique and really as they have gotten older, I feel they are easier than just having one.  They always have each other and keep themselves very entertained, they love to be together.  I think with this new one coming, that it won’t be too awfully hard for them.  If I am busy with the new baby, they still have each other to play with, and they always have had to share their parents.  I’m optimistic that it will go over smoothly, and i’m thankful that they enjoy being together so much, they are so funny to watch!!

Everything in the ultrasound looked great, and for that I am very thankful!!  My due date remains the same, June 29th.  I feel very blessed to have felt so well and cross my fingers that this one will be strong and healthy and maybe even a little chunky, if that is not asking too much.  The girls were so small for so long that I would love a little chunk this time.  I’m now 20 weeks down and hopefully, 20 more to go!!!

I followed Nates blog and saw you were having another girl. At first when I looked at the picture I thought it was a boy. It is hard online to actually see things. Congrats! I am sure three girls will be way fun! I am nervous actually about doing a girls hair. It is so easy to just do Lukas’s and leave. I am not so good at doing girl hair. Maybe you could give me lessons? Also just a tip pull out all the girls clothes out of storage well a head of time. The reason I say this is I pulled out all of Lukas’s things to get out some gender neutral stuff and learned an important lesson. I guess spit up stains come back while in storage. I put them away clean but I guess the acid of spit up comes back up. So you might not be able to salvage as much as you thought. I do have a cleaning solution for it but I haven’t tried it yet. I almost cried though when I saw some of the things.

P.S. I am up and really running on the face book thing. I think I am getting the hang of things. If you want to add me it is Brandi Wilkinson

Yay, little girls are so fun!! It’s when they get older that you have to worry! I know that you think you only have to by one outfit, but wait until you start matching all their outfits for church, pictures, etc. My SIL has 4 girls, and they always match-crazy!! I’m sure this one will be as cute as her older sisters.

    Wendy,
We love little girls especially in 3′s. They will all be such good friends. You will have two very good helpers, what a great blessing.

  8. Gretchen Says:

Congrats!!! You’re halfway there! Have fun with pink! I know NOTHING about little girls.

It would be a waste of lots of cute stuff if you had a boy. Girls are the best anyway! I forgot… when is the due date?
